Seal hitches a ride on River Orwell rower's boat

A grey seal decided to take the weight off by hitching a ride on a sculler's boat on the River Orwell in Suffolk.

Terry Davey was joined by the seal on Sunday afternoon.

The animal stayed with him for about 30 minutes and was filmed by several people, including You Tube user "dennyjcc", who posted footage on the video-sharing site.

Mr Davey said he had never had a seal on board his boat before, but described it as "really cute".
