Suffolk wildlife enjoy treats at a "hedgehog buffet bar"
A wildlife enthusiast is single-handedly trying to make his home county the most hedgehog-friendly in the UK.
Self-styled Suffolk "wildlife gadgetman, external" Jason Alexander is encouraging people to make their gardens more accessible to wildlife
One way he helps them is to supply a "hog buffet bar" at his home in Rushmere St Andrew.
It comes as the Wildlife Trusts say hedgehog numbers are on the decline, with fewer than 1 million left in the UK.
Mr Alexander said: "I've tried to create lots of different habitats, so there's log piles, there's hog homes, there's feeding areas.
"One of the simple things we can do to help hedgehogs is just to create a little hole in the bottom of the fence, CD-sized, that's all you need, and that's enough for a hedgehog to pass through and actually get into your garden."
