Upset over St Edmund 'death site' homes in Hoxne

Plans for new homes at the site where historians say the first patron saint of England died have been given the go-ahead.

Mid Suffolk District Council said there were no grounds to turn down the proposals for the four properties at a field in Hoxne, near Eye.

There is currently a monument in honour of Saint Edmund, King of East Anglia, at the site.
