Elizabeth Garrett Anderson: Centenary of woman doctor's death

The first woman to qualify in the UK as a doctor died 100 years ago.

Elizabeth Garrett Anderson, from Aldeburgh, Suffolk, set up her own medical school for other women to train as doctors after she qualified.

She died aged 81 on 17 December 1917.
