Clandon Park House fire: Stately home gutted in huge blaze

The fire at Clandon Park House near Guildford started at about 16:00 BST on Wednesday and was still burning at 21:00.

At its height more than 80 firefighters were on the scene, the property's owner, the National Trust said.

Jerry Silverton from the trust said: "We have lost some of the roof which has caved in."
