Brighton mum designs app to help children take medication
A mother from Brighton who left school at 18 to have her first baby has designed an app to help children take their medication.
Kim Novis, from Woodingdean, started looking into medicine when her second daughter Sienna became seriously ill with a rare condition called Gradenigo's syndrome, which is related to infections in the middle ear.
She has recently completed a biomedical science degree at the University of Sussex, becoming the first person in her family to go to university.
During the degree she designed an app to encourage children to take their medication.
