Orchid View death families get compensation
The families of seven people who died at the Orchid View care home in West Sussex have received compensation.
An inquest into 10 unexplained deaths at the home in Copthorne found neglect had contributed to five of them.
West Sussex Coroner Penelope Schofield said the home where the deaths took place between 2009 and 2011 was mismanaged, understaffed and riddled with abuse.
The home, then run by Southern Cross, has since closed and reopened under a new name and management.
