Brighton's Saltdean Lido gets funding boost

Brighton's dilapidated Saltdean Lido has been awarded £2.3m from the Coastal Communities Fund to help with its restoration.

The 1930s art deco structure is the UK's only Grade II* listed lido.

An estimated £5m is needed for the lido's refurbishment, which is expected to reopen in 2016.
