Thief in trapper hat caught on Hove shop's CCTV

A distinctively dressed thief has been caught on CCTV brazenly stealing two charity boxes from a shop counter in Hove, East Sussex, before then taking a shop worker's wallet from behind the counter.

The man, wearing a trapper hat, stole the items while the worker's attention was distracted in Vega Express in Sackville Road.

The charity boxes belonged to a local church.

Sussex Police said the suspect involved in the robbery, just before 19:30 BST on 10 September, was white, in his 30s, and about 6ft 1in (1.82m) tall, with short black hair and facial hair.
