Brighton marks winter solstice by Burning the Clocks

Thousands of people have lined the streets of Brighton for the annual Burning the Clocks parade.

The ceremony to mark the winter solstice was launched in the city in 1993.

It involves people with handmade lanterns parading through the city then burning them on a bonfire on the beach.
