Thousands attend bonfire festivities in Lewes

Tens of thousands of people have been taking part in the bonfire celebrations in the East Sussex town of Lewes, despite measures to reduce numbers attending.

Sussex Police warned people not to go unless they were from the town.

Roads into Lewes were closed hours before the start of event, and no trains stopped within a five mile radius.
