Torchbearer amputee Kieran Maxwell gets new leg

Olympic torchbearer Kieran Maxwell lost part of his leg to Ewing's Sarcoma - a rare and aggressive form of cancer - two years ago.

But now the 14-year-old, from Heighington, near Darlington, has Olympic gymnastic aspirations after getting a new prosthetic limb.

The leg was paid for by Lottery winners Colin and Chris Weir, from Ayrshire, Scotland, who won more than £160m and Kieran said he loves it.

BBC Look North's Peter Lugg spoke to Kieran and his mother Nicola.
