Durham Tees Valley Airport fails to win £4.5m grant

Durham Tees Valley Airport has failed for a second time to win a share of government money designed to create jobs.

The airport had asked for just over £4.5m from the government's Regional Growth Fund to pay for work that would have opened up large areas of land.

In contrast, 10 other north-east of England companies or projects were successful in collectively winning £48m.

Business Correspondent Ian Reeve reports.
