SSI steel workers on Teesside celebrate £1m lottery win

A group of steel workers on Teesside won £1m in the EuroMillions New Year's Eve draw.

The 27-strong syndicate at SSI, near Redcar, will get just over £37,000 each.

Among them is a teenager who was only at the company on a work experience placement.

The win comes three months after another group of workers at the plant pocketed just under £290,000 in the EuroMillions draw.
