Redcar Beacon: Vertical pier's success questioned

A year after a £1.6m vertical pier opened on a Teesside seafront opinion is still divided.

In the last year the 80ft (25m) Redcar Beacon has welcomed almost 200,000 visitors, Redcar and Cleveland council said.

But there have been complaints half the shop units inside are empty.
