Demolition starts on collapsed Egremont house
The demolition of a house has begun after the rear side of it collapsed into a Cumbrian river following heavy rain.
Engineers worked through the night after the rear of the three-storey property in Egremont plunged into the River Ehen on Tuesday.
The building was so badly damaged that it had to be demolished and surrounding structures made safe.
No-one was hurt in the collapse, but two nearby homes were evacuated as engineers said there was a danger of falling debris.
