Floods hit Newcastle's Town Moor

Newcastle's Town Moor has been hit by flooding after days of heavy rain in the north-east of England.

Run-off water from the sodden 1,000-acre open space in the centre of the city cascaded into Exhibition Park, close to the Central Motorway.

No-one was reported injured, but the area has been sealed off and a section of the Central Motorway closed as a precaution.
