Former miner remembers tears 20 years on

Former miner Billy Torton remembers men being in tears after Westoe Colliery in South Shields closed 20 years ago.

By the end of 1993 Easington, Westoe, Wearmouth and Vane Tempest - the last surviving Durham pits - had all closed.

Mr Torton reflects on how his life and the area around him has changed.
