MH17 disaster: Liam Sweeney's death 'will not be in vain'
The father of MH17 air disaster victim Liam Sweeney says he hopes his son's death "will not be in vain".
Barry Sweeney was speaking ahead of the 28-year-old's funeral in Newcastle.
He called on political and religious leaders to put aside their differences and bring an end to fighting in trouble-spots across the globe.
His son Liam was one of 298 people who died on 17 July when the Malaysia Airlines plane came down in Ukraine.
