Teenager Melissa Masterton hails new bionic hand
A teenage girl has spoken of the change in her life after being given a bionic hand - the technology for which is being developed by scientists on Tyneside.
Melissa Masterton, 17, from Edinburgh, was born without her left hand and regarded the prosthetics offered to her as "doll-like".
But thanks to fast-moving breakthroughs in bionics, she now has a prosthetic which looks realistic and has boosted her confidence.
