Sunderland International Airshow: A flight with The Blades
As the Sunderland International Airshow gets under way, BBC Look North has been given an insight into what spectators can look forward to over the weekend.
Joining the team of former Red Arrow pilots in their aircraft, The Blades aerobatics team showed reporter Damian O'Neill some of their aerobatic stunts.
The event, on the Seaburn and Roker seafront, is now in its 27th year and organisers have predicted that the display will be the biggest yet.
Highlights include the Red Arrows, wing-walkers and a fly-past by the only remaining Spitfire which actually took part in the Battle of Britain in 1940.
