Heart transplant girl's aim to help others through nursing
A North East teenager who underwent heart surgery nine months ago says she wants to become a nurse to help children like her.
Chloe Beaney had been top of the transplant list at Newcastle's Freeman Hospital and a heart donor was found following a wide appeal. She had the successful operation in November.
The 15-year-old from Cramlington said when she is older she would like to work in an intensive care unit so that she can "comfort" other children who go through the same as her.
