Durham's Magna Carta generates £2m for local economy
An exhibition in Durham of one of the rarest and most valuable documents in England has generated more than £2m for the local economy, it is estimated.
More than 25,000 people have been to see the Durham Cathedral-owned 1216 copy of the Magna Carta at the Palace Green Library.
Julie Burg, head of special collections at Durham University, said she was "thrilled" with how visitors had engaged with the display, which ends on Monday.
