Gateshead youngsters star in Traidcraft charity video
Primary schoolchildren from Gateshead are taking the starring role in a new video to promote the international charity work of Traidcraft.
Based in Gateshead, Traidcraft promotes and nurtures ethical trade links with developing countries, and its latest 'Let it Grow` campaign features youngsters from all nations to highlight the similarities of children around the world.
Pupils from Oakfield Infant School in Gateshead feature heavily in the film and they were treated to a red carpet premier today on the Gateshead Quayside.
Teacher James Renwick said the whole experience had given the children an amazing new perspective on the world.
And Andy Biggs, the Chief Executive of Traidcraft, said the impact the children were going to make with the video could not be under-estimated
