Hermes driver caught on CCTV throwing parcel over fence

A courier company has apologised after one of its drivers was spotted throwing a parcel over a fence.

The Hermes driver was caught on CCTV pitching the package into the garden.

Despite landing on a patio, the contents - cosmetics and bottles of perfume - remained undamaged.

Kaitlin Mitchinson, from Gateshead, told BBC Newcastle at her shock of finding it in the yard.
