The Sunderland man who lived on a roundabout
Paul Brown, 28, became homeless after both his parents died in one year and he went off the rails.
After he started drinking heavily and taking drugs, he stopped paying rent and began living on the streets.
He said he wanted a spot "right in the way" but "hidden at the same time", so thought a busy roundabout in the centre of Sunderland was the perfect choice.
After going "cold turkey" from legal highs, the YMCA and local churches helped him find a home and a job.
Paul says he has "never looked back".
Throughout the week beginning 27 March BBC News will be telling the stories of young people in Sunderland online and on social media.
