Beamish Museum creates 1950s North East street
Beamish Museum is building a 1950s street based on real houses and businesses in the North East.
The project at the County Durham site will include a working fish and chip shop and hairdressers.
The Remaking Beamish project, the largest investment the museum has ever made, has cost more than £20m and is expected to be completed in 2022.
