Capt Adam Crookshank treks to Pole with Hempleman Adams

A soldier from Devizes who was wounded while serving in Afghanistan is about to set off on a trek to the South Pole.

Capt Adam Crookshank will pull a sledge 140 miles (225km) in sub zero temperatures to raise money for other injured soldiers.

Along with two other soldiers and led by polar explorer David Hempleman Adams, he will be retracing the steps of Captain Scott and his men 100 years ago.
