South Marston Honda: Director Kim Ballamy on job cuts
Car maker Honda has announced it has achieved its target of cutting hundreds of jobs at its Swindon plant mainly through voluntary redundancy.
The Japanese car firm announced 800 job losses at its South Marston factory in January following poor sales in Europe.
Company figures, released earlier, show there had been 38 compulsory and 554 voluntary redundancies.
Director Kim Ballamy told Dave Harvey, the BBC's Business Correspondent in the West, that the firm had worked hard to "minimise the impact on associates and their families".
