Groupon deal causes grotto queues in York city centre

A couple in York who are running a Santa's grotto in the city advertised their business via discount website Groupon, with hundreds of people queuing for the deal.

But a mistake in the advert led customers to mistakenly think the offer included a train ride.

Groupon has accepted responsibility but Penelope Ward, who is managing the Christmas themed business, said the confusion had been damaging and upsetting.
