Historic North Yorkshire white horse gets paint job
A white horse carved on the slope of a hill near Kilburn in North Yorkshire is being repainted by volunteers.
The animal, which was carved in 1857, sits on the side Roulston Scar and measures 304ft (92m) long and 228ft (69m) high.
It will take two days and more than 220 gallons (1,000 litres) of masonry paint to finish the job.
