Big Issue seller buys contactless card reader

A man who sells The Big Issue in York has bought himself a card reader which accepts contactless payments as fewer people are carrying cash.

Sin Bad, who changed his name so he could be called Mr Bad, is originally from Liverpool but now lives in a tent in his cousin's garden.

The 47-year-old said he had been homeless on and off for about 20 years.

He has already started taking contactless payments and hopes it is the start of things to come.
