Former oil rig lifeboat transformed into home

A former oil rig lifeboat that worked on the Irish Sea has been transformed into "tiny floating home".

Johnny Sturgeon, originally from Skipton, started the renovation 18 months ago and is now a few weeks away from completion.

He said he initially wanted to "challenge" himself adding that "it's my own - it's money that I've put in or worked for."

Upon completion the vessel will move from its boatyard in Whitby down to the canals of London.
