Pope's decision 'Profound act of humility'
Catholics in Ireland have reacted with shock at the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI.
He is to resign at the end of February, after nearly eight years as the head of the Catholic church, saying he is too old to continue at the age of 85.
Cardinal Sean Brady, the Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland, said the pope's decision had been a "profound act of humility".
