HMS Caroline: WWI warship wins £1m lottery boost
The last surviving warship from the First World War looks set to become a floating museum after the Lottery Fund decided to back the project.
Plans to transform HMS Caroline, which is currently docked in Belfast, into a 'world class' visitor attraction received a boost after a bid to repair and restore the vessel met the criteria for funding.
A grant of nearly £1m has been secured, with potential for another £12m in the future.
