Michelle Obama tells NI teens 'we expect great things'

Michelle Obama has addressed a group of school children in Northern Ireland telling them "we expect great things from you".

The First Lady received a warm welcome at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast - where she also introduced her husband ahead of his arrival at the G8 summit in County Fermanagh.

Mrs Obama told the gathering of students "standing here today I have never felt optimistic".

"We believe in each and every one of you, that is exactly why we are here," she added.
