Adams arrest: Secretary of State Theresa Villiers told about arrest on Monday
Northern Ireland Secretary of State Theresa Villiers has said she was told on Monday that Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams was expected to be questioned.
She said she was told by one of her officials, who had been told by a member of the PSNI.
Speaking to BBC News NI Political Correspondent Martina Purdy, Ms Villiers added that reaction to the arrest should be "measured" and that Northern Ireland's political leaders should continue to work together for "the good of Northern Ireland".
