Fisherman saved as farmer hears cry for help

The RNLI has released footage of a rescue operation in the sea off the coast of County Donegal.

The alarm was raised by a farmer, who was near the shore about half a mile away and heard his cries for help.

The fisherman was found clinging to a lobster buoy after getting into difficulties in Tullagh Bay, near Clonmany on the Inishowen Peninsula.

A spokesman for the Lough Swilly lifeboat station said he was "exceptionally lucky" to be alive.
