Duncan McCausland: Former senior PSNI officer released
A former senior Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) officer who was being questioned about the awarding of police vehicle contracts has been released from custody.
Ex-Assistant Chief Constable Duncan McCausland was one of six men arrested in Northern Ireland and England on Tuesday morning.
His release is pending a report being sent to the Public Prosecutions Service.
Mr McCausland, who was one of the PSNI's most high-profile officers, retired in March 2011.
He said he "strenuously denies" the allegations.
