IRA has gone away says Gerry Adams

Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams has insisted that the IRA has gone away.

Speaking at a hunger strike commemoration in County Louth, Mr Adams said IRA members have been stood down as part of the peace process.

He claimed unionist politicians had "opportunistically and cynically" sought to use the murders of ex-IRA men Jock Davison and Kevin McGuigan to attack his party. Maggie Taggart reports.
