PSNI Chief Constable George Hamilton 'saddened' by death of prison officer Adrian Ismay
Northern Ireland's most senior police office has said he is saddened by the death of a prison officer days after a bomb attack in east Belfast but said he will not make assumptions about what caused his death.
PSNI Chief Constable George Hamilton told the BBC Adrian Ismay suffered "horrendous injuries" when the booby-trap device exploded under his van on 4 March but said police will await the results of a post-mortem before deciding if his death was due to the bomb.
