NI Apprenticeship Week: 'You're earning as you're learning'
A shortage of skilled workers is posing a problem for local manufacturing and engineering companies.
In mid Ulster there are approximately 700 vacancies.
To address the problem, firms are looking at new ways of recruiting people, including apprenticeships.
There has been a large rise in the number of firms offering places this year, giving students the opportunity to earn as they learn.
