Ardoyne: Footage of children dancing in 60s goes viral

A group of children was filmed dancing in Holy Cross Parish, Ardoyne, in Belfast in the 1960s.

It was first broadcast on BBC's Tonight programme on 16 March 1964.

Now, almost 60 years later, the footage has resurfaced and gone viral on social media, and can be watched on BBC Rewind, external.

Rewind originally republished the footage, before BBC News NI's education correspondent Robbie Meredith unearthed it again while writing a piece on a Deep Listening project.
