Cameron reveals leadership doubts in BBC programme
David Cameron has admitted that even the night before he eventually became Prime Minister he told his wife he had lost hope of making it to Number 10.
For five days in May, Britain waited to see who would become prime minister, following the election of the first hung parliament since 1974.
Now the party leaders have told the BBC's political editor Nick Robinson what really went on behind the scenes as the coalition deal was done.
Five Days That Changed Britain is broadcast at 2100 BST on BBC2.
