David Cameron: 'A great day for our country'

David Cameron has said Prince William was ''extremely excited'' when they spoke about his forthcoming wedding to Kate Middleton.

The couple, who are both 28, became engaged in October during a private holiday in Kenya.

The prime minister said the news is ''a great day for our country, a great day for the Royal family and obviously a great day for Prince William and for Kate''.
