Gove 'must apologise' over school rebuilding decision
The Education Secretary Michael Gove must apologise to children in Sandwell after the government was defeated in the High Court over the way it scrapped part of England's school building programme, Tom Watson MP has said.
The West Bromwich MP said ignoring the advice of lawyers and civil servants led to "misery" for those affected.
Tory MP Elizabeth Truss and Labour MP Stella Creasy also gave their views.
Consultation on the Buildings Schools for the Future (BSF) projects in six areas being was ruled unlawful, although judges said the plans were "competent, rational and will save money".
