Gordon Brown would still be PM under AV. says Jeremy Hunt MP
Labour MP John Healey explains the possible change to an Alternative Vote (AV) system was a low priority for him, and why he wants to keep the current first-past-the-post method.
And Conservative MP Jeremy Hunt explained he was also against a system he claimed would have left Gordon Brown as prime minister after the 2010 general election.
But there was cross-party support for the voting change from the political alliance of Liberal Democrat MP Jo Swinson and Labour MP David Lammy, even if their party leaders are not sharing a platform in favour of AV.
