Budget: Osborne announcements and public demonstrations
BBC News looks back over the last 12 months since George Osborne took over as chancellor and pledged to cut the UK's deficit.
He prepares to give his second Budget speech on Wednesday, after claiming at the weekend his measures announced last year had helped "rescue" the economy, but some of his announcements have led to demonstrations on the streets.
The BBC's Budget coverage will come from Westminster, the City and Hull on Wednesday from 1130-1530 GMT on Wednesday, live on BBC Two, the BBC News Channel and online.
