Alternative Vote (AV) referendum testing the coalition

The outcome of the referendum on proposals to change the voting system in Westminster could test the coalition with Nick Clegg campaigning for a yes and David Cameron for a no vote on the Alternative Vote (AV)

It comes on the same day as - and likely to prove important politically than - local elections in England, and votes for Parliaments and assemblies in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and a Parliamentary by-election in Leicester.

Max Cotton spoke to Liberal Democrat Party president Tim Farron, Conservative Party chairman Baroness Warsi, Danny Finkelstein from The Times and Labour MP Emily Thornberry on the importance of the AV campaign.
