Tsunami and earthquake videos make politicians act

Lord Ashdown is publishing a report into the UK's response to worldwide disasters, with a stark prediction there will be more to come after uprisings in Libya and Syria, and earthquakes in Japan and New Zealand.

But Giles Dilnot asks if TV coverage changes policy, or does politics rise above what is leading the news agenda, as he spoke to former Foreign Secretary Sir Malcolm Rifkind and BBC World News editor Jon Williams.
